Sarah Foster is an Arizona native and was born in Sedona surrounded by the beauty of red rocks. At age nine, she began as an actor in theater. She also began to play the violin and study singing. This continued to be the focus in high school where she was extremely fortunate to attend Verde Valley School in Sedona. This college preparatory school focuses on multi-cultural studies and the arts. Sarah went on to study acting at the University of Arizona. She graduated with a degree in communications and theater management. Sarah is mostly a self taught artist but has taken several workshops in the design and creation of jewelry. The unique style of Stone Creek Designs comes from something deeper than technical processes. By constant experimentation, artists learn through their mistakes and triumphs. Sarah believes this to be the key to original art. It is through this very personal process art that .speaks. to us is created. Sarah spends time with her dog, Zeus, hiking the beautiful Southwest soaking up new inspiration. Her two kitties, Cedar and Kona provide inspiration in the studio and the practice of yoga keeps her healthy and strong in mind and body! Stone Creek Designs has received special attention for presentation at several juried art shows around the country. The awards include Best of Show for Jewelry Tempe Spring Festival of the Arts, Best of Show The Litchfield Arts Festival, First Place for Jewelry Saint George Arts Festival and The Santa Fe Plaza Arts Festival.
